What is a digital guest guidebook?
A digital guest guidebook is a mobile-friendly webpage — not an app or PDF — that hosts share with guests before and during their stay. It contains everything guests need: check-in steps, WiFi, door codes, house rules, appliance guides, local recommendations, and checkout instructions. Guests open it on any phone browser from one link.
How is Host Book Co. different from Airbnb's built-in messages?
Airbnb messages are linear — guests have to scroll back through a thread to find the WiFi password at midnight. A Host Book Co. guidebook is organized by topic, always available at the same link, and works outside of Airbnb. You paste the link into your existing messages. It works for Vrbo, direct booking, and repeat guests too.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests open the guidebook in their phone's browser — Safari, Chrome, or anything else. There is no download, no account, and no login. The link works immediately.
How long does it take to get a guidebook?
Most beta guidebook drafts are turned around within a few business days of receiving the property details. If we need follow-up information — door codes, parking specifics, or local tips — we will ask before building the draft.
Is it really free?
Yes. The first guidebook draft is free while we are in beta. We are building the product and want real feedback from real hosts. After beta, paid plans will be introduced, but beta participants will have early notice.
