About

What Host Book Co. is and who it is for.

What we do

Host Book Co. builds and hosts digital guest guidebooks for short-term rental hosts. A host submits their property details — check-in steps, WiFi, house rules, local recommendations, and anything else guests ask about — and we turn it into a branded, mobile-first webpage at a shareable link.

Guests open the link in their phone browser. No app download, no account, no friction. The guidebook is always available at the same URL, organized by topic, and works for every guest who books the property.

Who we help

Host Book Co. is built for short-term rental hosts who list on Airbnb, Vrbo, or take direct bookings. It is especially useful for hosts who:

  • Receive the same guest questions every booking — WiFi, parking, door codes, checkout
  • Want to give guests a better experience without spending hours writing instructions
  • Already send guests a long Airbnb message and want something more organized
  • Host multiple properties and need a consistent system
  • Are new hosts who want to look professional from the first booking

How it works

Host Book Co. is a done-for-you service, not a DIY builder. Hosts do not design or assemble anything. The process is:

  1. 1.A host submits their property details through the intake form at hostbookco.com/get-started.
  2. 2.The Host Book Co. team reviews the submission. If details are missing — door codes, parking specifics, or local tips — we follow up before building the draft.
  3. 3.We build and host the guidebook at a unique URL (for example, hostbookco.com/guide/echo-house).
  4. 4.The host reviews the draft and requests any edits. Changes are made before sharing with guests.
  5. 5.The host pastes the link into their existing Airbnb or Vrbo messages. Guests open it on arrival.

What is included in a guidebook

Each guidebook is organized into sections relevant to the property. Standard sections include:

  • Pre-arrival — address, directions, what to pack, nearby grocery stops
  • Arrival and check-in — WiFi credentials, door access, check-in steps, parking
  • House guide — appliances, rules, common troubleshooting
  • Safety — emergency contacts, nearest hospital, property-specific alerts
  • Local guide — restaurant recommendations, nearby activities, area tips
  • Checkout — step-by-step checklist, checkout time reminders
  • Post-stay — review request, direct booking link for repeat guests

Pricing

The first guidebook draft is free during the beta period. Host Book Co. is in beta, accepting guidebook requests from Airbnb and Vrbo hosts. Beta participants provide feedback that shapes the product. Paid plans will be introduced after beta, with early notice for hosts who participated.
